Creating opportunities and supporting industry for the next generation of Libyans

Success is rarely built overnight. Every meaningful achievement begins with a decision to keep moving forward despite uncertainty. There will always be obstacles, setbacks and moments when the easier option is to stop.

The people who succeed are often the ones who continue building when others choose to wait. I also hope that they understand that believing in your country is not just about words they say, it is about taking action, creating opportunities and being willing to contribute even when the outcome is uncertain.

Today, Alushibe Holding Group employs more than 6,000 people and serves over 2 million customers across Libya. Under his leadership, Alushibe Holding Group expanded into manufacturing, engineering, industrial production, healthcare and many other sectors.

The group has invested in factories, logistics networks, construction projects, food production, healthcare infrastructure and other commercial developments.

Gadalla is also a Chairman of Tosyali-SULB partnership, one of the world’s largest Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) projects in Benghazi.

The project represents one of the several industrial initiatives connected to his vision of enabling Libya’s economic growth through large-scale investments.

During the years of conflict in the early 2010s, as well as the challenges facing the country today, Alushibe Holding Group has continued to operate. This is despite damages to the company’s infrastructure in Benghazi and disruption to its operations.

These challenges did not stop Gadalla from sticking to his vision, with the infrastructure rebuilt and operations resuming. “Stay, adapt and keep building” is Gadalla’s motto, summarising his approach to business.

Beyond business, Gadalla frequently speaks about the importance of employment, education and creating opportunities for young Libyans. This he views as vital to the country’s future.

Through Alushibe Holding Group, he has supported workforce development programs, employee housing initiatives, community projects and partnerships. These are designed to give local people access to high quality training and international experience.

Ahmed Gadalla's message was always that lasting results are achieved over years, not months and that meaningful progress comes from consistency, resilience and willingness to keep moving forward even during difficult times.
