Zulfa Builds the Systems That Will Keep the Factory Running

Zulfa Builds the Systems That Will Keep the Factory Running

There’s still a lot of work being done in different areas of the site at Zulfa Food Industries, but the biggest strides are happening behind the scenes at the moment. Teams are working on the electrical, security and technical systems that will eventually form part of the day-to-day running of the factory.

One of the new developments has been work on security and surveillance. The Zulfa team met with representatives from Hikvision, engineers, consultants and the site’s technical, maintenance and security teams to review the system planned for the facility. It includes cameras, thermal imaging and technology able to detect smoke, heat, flames and gas leaks.

Meanwhile, the electrical infrastructure is coming together. The medium-voltage electrical room is under construction and will distribute power throughout the facility. MW transformers have also arrived and are now on site ready for installation.

There's a lot that needs to come together before a facility like Zulfa can begin production. It's not just the buildings, or the installation of the production lines. The power supply needs to be reliable, there need to be safety systems and the different technical areas need to work together as one facility.

That also requires regular coordination among those working on the project. Management, consultants, contractors and technical teams continue to meet to review what has been achieved, to address technical issues and to prepare for the work ahead. That part of the development is moving forward, with progress being re-evaluated on the hotel on site.

Getting these details right is important for us to build Zulfa properly. Some of that work may be less visible than the construction itself, but it will make a real difference once the factory is up and running.

The electrical infrastructure is being built out, transformers are being installed and more of the factory’s technical systems are being prepared. Zulfa is moving slowly from a project under construction to a facility being prepared for production.
