A Look At The Latest Progress Across The Benghazi Steel Comp

Work is ongoing at the Tosyali-SULB steel complex in Benghazi, with different portions of the project being developed simultaneously. With construction underway, the site is beginning to take more shape. New buildings are popping up and various parts of the site are slowly coming together.
One of the most recent developments has been the piling works which are now more than 95% complete. The project is nearing completion of one of its early and largest phases of construction, with only 74 piles remaining. That progress is making room for more work to take place in other areas of the complex.
Construction crews are still working all over the site. In parallel with the concrete activities around the Cooling Tower and the Main Control Building, work continues at the CDRI Warehouse. Steel structures are continuing to go up in the Reformer Area. Work is also underway at the Oxide Screen Station and the Dust Collector F83 system. Although these areas serve different purposes, each will be important to the future operation of the plant.
The project is generally progressing at a steady pace. The concrete works are now 63% complete with piling, backfilling and steel installation progressing side by side. Every task we complete moves another part of the project forward and this is how a development of this scale comes together slowly.
There are more than 260 engineers, technicians, contractors and workers on site each day driving that progress. The areas of the complex they work on may vary, but they all work together for the same goal. More new materials are arriving, construction is progressing and another section of the project is starting to take shape.
